Good Vibes

Chill Out,

Here’s a demo of working code for mine and a friend’s “Pidel” project. The project is to flash LEDs hooked up to a microcontroller (currently a Raspberry Pi) in time to the music we’re DJing.

In order of happening:

1 - Music starts

2 - Server boot sequence

3 - Lights flash in time to the music. Red, Off, Blue, Off.

4 - Packets get jumbled and/or malformed so the lights get stuck on white just going Bright, Dim, Bright, Dim.

5 - My ugly mug.

Well proud of how it’s going, just a few tweaks and some error checking, we should be good to go :D

NYE Party Music! [Mixing]

Posting here for those that wish the information. Streaming our NYE mixing tonight! :D

Alright so the plan is to stream our music all night to anyone who wants to listen. We have a server and will be streaming from 8PM UK Time (I think we’re back to GMT now??) onwards. I can’t promise the stability of the stream but it seems to handle pretty well during testing. This means there *may* be unexpected cutouts, but a reconnection should fix this. there will be the odd expected cutout as we swap DJs, so reconnecting applies for this too. VLC is the best client to use in my experience.

Here is the URL: http://kunniagaming.net:1500/nye.ogg

Tell everyone you know who won’t be attending our party and would still like to listen. It’s free and all are welcome :)

This guy is awesome! Wish I could loop that well xD

My first mix :) There’s some fuck ups etc but on the whole I’m pretty proud of it. All tracks herein are by 1200 Mics - I don’t own them.

There shall come a day when we shall all be free,

And see the beauty in your heart, in your heart,

And from a far I can see the trumpet of, his imperial majesty,

Oh God..
